The shortlist is the final step where amongst all the films submitted for the Oscars for the category, 15 films advance to the voting stage. This inches Homebound closer to a possible nomination nod when the nominations are announced on January 22, 2026.          Sharing his heartfelt reaction, Vishal Jethwa said, "This moment feels surreal and incredibly humbling.
